Time Sensitive: HB842 Paper Ballot Initiative Witness Form. Please Share.
If you watched the November election, you know that paper ballots are necessary if we are ever going to trust the authenticity of our election system. If you share the same concerns, please take a minute to read this from a group of our grassroots friends and share as much as possible:
We need your witness form now for HB842--the Hand Marked Paper Ballot bill. It is scheduled to be heard in the Elections and Elected Officials Hearing this Wednesday, March 3 at 12:00 noon in Hearing Room 6.
Generic Witness form link for HB 842
Please, if you haven't already, send in your witness form right away! We need to have a minimum of 3 times as many as we now have to make it clear to the legislators that this is a priority for the people of Missouri. So please share the generic witness form with others!
And if you are able to come to the committee hearing, please do so. You will most likely be able to make brief remarks. If you prefer not to speak, your presence will still have a positive impact and you will be able to turn in a witness form in person. If you have any questions or are planning to attend, please let us know by replying to this email.
HB738 will also be heard at this same hearing. It includes the language of our bill, as well as requirements for stronger voter ID, hand counting of all ballots, and elimination of all electronic poll books. Please read HB738 here, and if you would like to fill out a witness form for it, please do so here and follow the directions given.
If you only have time to fill out one witness form, we request that it be the one for HB842--from the link given in this email. It can be done in 2 minutes and will be a huge support to the Election Integrity movement in Missouri.
Thank you!
